Because Thanksgiving’s on Thursday I’m trying recipes the rest of the week that have nothing to do with the holidays… until after Thursday, when we’ll be living off of leftovers for ages. I’m excited to try a couple new recipes, and I do love this holiday!
Monday

Tuesday
Spiced and sour mushroom soup

Wednesday
Caramelized pear and gorgonzola pizza

Thursday

Friday
Using leftovers to make Turkey Shepherd’s Pie

And for a special treat
Peanut buttery bars

Sausages and peppers…this would be a winner in my house.
Your menu sounds delicious. Happy Thanksgiving!
Have you ever heard of shelf milk? If so, can you use it in a baking recipe?
Hi Rona – I have not heard of shelf milk, but based on what I have read about it, it seems you can use it the same as regular milk. Here a link to a FAQ site about shelf milk that I referenced: http://bordenshelfstablemilk.com/borden/borden_SSMFAQ_01.htm
Happy Thanksgiving to you too! Thanks for reading our blog!
Devin
Thanks! I’m pretty excited for the curry I’m making tonight – it’ll be refreshing before a weekend full of turkey. I’ve never heard of shelf milk either, but it sounds like an interesting ingredient!
