We’ve gotten great feedback on our first version of our web clipper. Watch the video & learn more.
Check out the new Springpad web clipper:
- The clipper now works in Internet Explorer 7
- Add a note to your springpad with an in-line dialog. We’ve gotten rid of the pesky extra pop-up.

How to Install the clipper to your browser toolbar:
Firefox, Safari, or Chrome
Drag above button to your browser’s link bar
IE7
Click View->Toolbars->Unlock the Toolbars
Turn on the “Links” Toolbar.
Right-Click the “Spring It!” button above and select “Add to Favorites”
Select the “Links” folder.
In your IE Menubar, drag the “Links” toolbar out to the left until you see “Spring It!”
IE8
Right click on the Spring It button and select “Add to Favorites”
In the “Create in” drop down menu, select “Favorites Bar”
How it works:
As you surf the web, find text, photos or links that you want to save for later. Highlight what you’d like to clip & click on “Spring It!” in your browser’s tool bar. A note will be added to your springpad.

This bookmarklet is not working at all in Firefox for some reason. Whenever I try to clip something it wants me to sign in again but just keeps giving me the same sign in page instead of clipping the item. Quite disappointed.
Hi Buck – Thank you for reporting this. I am sorry that you are experiencing login problems with the bookmarklet. Are you able to login into springpad directly or is it only when you attempt to clip something that you are prevented from accessing springpad?
We’ll look into this right away, and I will contact you once we have determined a solution. In the meantime, here is my direct email in case you need further assistance: devin@springpartners.com.
I apologize for the inconvenience!
